This device intercepts all programs direct screen output and makes them available to other programs via a pipe. TosWin2 gives the option of redirecting these outputs to a window so that they no longer end up directly on screen. If the window is iconified, it opens automatically as soon as there is new input. If the window is closed, TosWin2 logs off from xconout2 and the output appears again directly on screen. So it makes sense to have the console always opened in TosWin2 and you will never have to worry about wild screen output again! You can tell TosWin2 is monitoring the console by looking if the u:\dev\tw-con file exists.
