Each program parameters can be set individually within TosWin2. Unlike
previous versions, TosWin2 not only remembers different window settings
but also window positions. This means that e.g. the login shell can
always open at the same size and position.
There is one caveat with this new method: since there is only one set of
parameters per program, changes always apply to all opened windows of
the running program. Additionaly, it is currently not yet possible for
TosWin2 to remember started programs and start them automatically next
time.

The configuration dialog is called up via the menu item. If no
configurable window is currently open, you can change the standard
settings. The name of the program for which the configuration applys is
displayed under the window title bar.

The following parameters can be set for each window:

∙ Size: Columns and lines represent the window maximum size,
i.e. the size that is set when the window is maximized.
If a buffer is specified (xxx lines), the output is
buffered so you can scroll back xxx lines in the window.

∙ Charset: Any non-proportional GDOS character set can be used.
You will need an xFSL-compatible program (like Calvino)
or WDialog ()MagiC selection) or a font server must be
                  set up (e.g. Thing).
You can also choose how the keystrokes are interpreted.
Atari and ISO coding are currently available.

∙ Misc: You may change the way the cursor is displayed, either
as a block or an underscore.
You can also set whether or not the window should be
closed immediately after the program has ended.

∙ Elements: This allows to select which windows elements are
displayed. You can also enter a window title. If no
title is entered, the program name is displayed.

   ∙ Terminal: TosWin2 allows tw52 and tw100 emulation. Since TosWin2
does not completely emulate VT52 or VT100, it uses its
own terminal names. Changing the emulation type has an
effect only after restarting the program in question.
You can also change foreground and background window
                  colours.

In addition to the dialog settings, TosWin2 also remembers the windows
position and if they are iconified when the settings are saved.
