View Ref-FileFile - Show Info... (Drive) Thing
This dialog displays information and statistics for the selected drive.
Label: A description for the drive icon on the desktop, up to 32 characters
in length. This may be edited; mixed upper and lower case can be used.
Some users prefer to have no icon text, which saves some desktop space
-- to do this just clear the icon 'Label' editable text field with Esc .
Volume: This is usually set by your disk management software and is
largely a hangover for GEMDOS compatibility. If information about the
drive could be established, the 'Volume' name can be altered; otherwise
the field is blocked.
An existing 'Volume' label can be edited but not completely removed.
This is a limitation of GEMDOS not Thing!
Usage: This and the following entries display the current amount of
drive space used and still free, as well as the total capacity. The
operating system function Dfree() is used to avoid unnecessary delay
due to recursive file counting, but this does mean the figures are not
exact -- although most users should find them near enough for everyday
purposes.
OK : The current data is updated and, if multiple drives were selected,
the details for the next drive is displayed.
Next : This button is only available if further drives were selected.
Select this button to display the details for the next drive without
updating the details for the current drive.
Cancel : Exits the dialog without updating any details.
