Depending on the operating system, a little preparation is required:

 ⇨ Single-TOS (TOS 1.04, TOS 2.06 etc.)
 ⇨ Single-TOS & MiNT
 ⇨ MagiC! (MagX)
 ⇨ MultiTOS

You can use Thing to determine which operating system you are using.

 1) Start THING.APP from the desktop
 2) Select 'About Thing...' in the accessory menu
 3) Select button  Info  in the 'About Thing' dialog

A dialog box appears, showing the current operating system, screen
resolution and other useful infomation. Thus if Thing is running under 
MagiC!3 and TOS2GEM has already been started, we would see something 
like:
