View Ref-FileMouse & KeyboardMenu commands, General Thing
Most menu commands can be selected with the keyboard too. The keyboard
shortcuts are shown at the right border of the menus. Some examples:
^C ..... Control + C keys pressed simultaneously
⇧^U ... Shift + Control + U keys pressed simultaneously
⇧DEL ... Shift + Delete keys pressed simultaneously
Some functions are also available using the following keyboard shortcuts,
which are not displayed in the menus:
Return ...... Shortcut for 'Open...' in the 'File' menu, if there is
one object selected.
Undo ........ Shortcut for 'Close' in the 'File' menu
Backspace ... Shortcut for 'Close' in the 'File' menu, so long as a
directory window is active in which the auto-locator is
switched off (if the auto-locator is active, this key
just deletes the last character entered instead).
Tab ......... Shortcut for 'Show info...' in the 'File' menu (long
established, so retained in Thing for historical reasons).
