View Ref-FileDesktop: Objects                                                      Thing

Thing includes a selection of objects that appear as icons on the desktop 
and in directory windows. Desktop icons can be assigned any desired text 
label, or optionally have this removed completely. To do this, select 
(highlight) the desired icon then select 'Show Info...' in the 'File' menu 
to display the 'Info' dialog and press  Esc  to clear the 'Label' editable 
field.

The following pages describe each object type in turn. Standard Thing 
monochrome icons are used in the illustrations.
