Pure C v1.0 supports up to six edit windows at the same time (or four
edit windows plus the Messages and Help Windows). Later versions
support as many windows as AES allows.

The Cut, Copy and Paste operations can be used to copy text from one
window to another.

These windows support all the standard GEM features: scroll bars,
close icons ☐, resize icons ☑, full size icons ☒, and title (drag)
bars. The title bar shows the full pathname of the file being edited,
with an '*' to indicate if any edit changes have been made.

Each window is depicted as being 255 characters wide regardless of the
actual content. (This is also the maximum line length the editor can
handle.)

To open an edit window, see File/Open .C through Open .PRJ
(the editor treats all file types the same).

See also Edit, Search, edit keys, block selection and
block operations.
