Salert()                                                             GEMDOS

Syntax

VOID Salert( str )
char *str;

Function      Salert() sends an alert string to the alert pipe
              'U:\PIPE\ALERT\'.

Opcode        316 (0x13C)

Availability  Available when a 'MiNT' cookie with a version of at least
              0.98 exists.

Parameters    str should point to a NULL terminated character string
              containing the alert message to display. The message should
              not contain any carriage returns or escape characters. The
              string should not be formatted as in form_alert().

Caveats       Messages sent by Salert() are only delivered if a separate
              application is present which was designed to listen to the
              alert pipe and post its contents.
